A Special Artistic Experience at FFC

We were honored to be part of the Richmond Art Museum’s new Foster Fellowship program, which brought Indianapolis-based artist Kate Orr to our community for a week of creativity and connection.

During her visit, Kate spent time at FFC leading a fun paint-along with residents, and it was such a great experience for everyone. She made it easy to follow along, and there were lots of smiles (and impressive artwork!) by the end.

Kate had a packed week working with a wide range of community members, including students from Fairview Elementary, Centerville, Richmond High School, and Earlham College, as well as hosting a demo at The Hive and connecting with seniors at FFC and The Leland Legacy plus Kiwanis and Reid Health.

This special program is designed to make art more accessible and connect people of all ages, and we’re grateful to have been included. Thank you to the Richmond Art Museum for this wonderful opportunity, and to Kate for sharing her gifts. We look forward to many more creative connections in the future!
